Pat and Kellie Warren named Honorary Chairs of KC Auto Museum’s upcoming fundraiser, The Car Affair

 

March 27, 2024 - The Kansas City Automotive Museum is pleased to announce that prominent local figures Pat and Kellie Warren have been named Honorary Chairs for The Car Affair on April 27. These accomplished leaders have made an undeniable, lasting impact in the KC Metro.

 

“Kellie and I are excited to help promote the museum and its mission to preserve the history of the automobile in Kansas City, and we look forward to seeing you all at the event this spring.” –Pat Warren

 

Pat is the President of Kansas Speedway and also leads NASCAR’s Midwest Region for Track Operations, which includes Kansas Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, Route 66 Raceway and Michigan International Speedway. Kellie is an attorney and a State Senator in Kansas. The Warrens have served in leadership roles in various civic organizations; Pat’s include the Board of Directors for the Kansas City, Kansas Chamber of Commerce, Wyandotte County Economic Development Council and Sunflower House. He currently serves on the Kansas Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is an active Whiteman Air Force Base Community Council member. Kellie’s include being an active parent in PTO and school booster clubs and representing Kansas. Both are University of Kansas Law Alumni.

 

The Car Affair is the Kansas City Automotive Museum’s new annual gala fundraiser event that will be held at The Underground at 31st and SW Trafficway. Guests will enjoy spectacular car displays, live music, food, drinks, special presentations and more. The proceeds from this event benefit the KC Auto Museum, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Local KC disc jockey Steve Garrett will be the MC at The Car Affair

Steve Garrett is Kansas City born and raised: He is currently the longest tenured disc jockey on Kansas City radio.  Steve is currently on the air at 101 The Fox (Cumulus-Kansas City, KCFX).  Prior to 101 The Fox, Garrett was at Q104 (KBEQ) from 1978 - 1980.  He spent 10 years at KY 102 (KYYS) from 1980 - 1990, and started at 101 The Fox in August of 1990.

 

Garrett was the only Public Address Announcer of hockey in Kansas City from 1990 - 2022.

 

Steve is a graduate of the University of Missouri/Kansas City with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.  He currently lives with his wife, Rhonda, in Olathe, Kansas.

Steve is in his 8th year as President of the Corvette Club of Kansas City.  He is also honored to be a member of the Kansas City Media Legends Society.  He was nominated and installed to that honor in 1988.
